NURS 497A Nursing Care of America's Veterans: An Introduction into the Care of Military Veterans (3) The course offers information to enrich knowledge and best practices for the delivery of care necessary for the unique needs of the veteran population. The course provides an overview of the US veterans health administration (VHA) system and the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Additionally, the course addresses special topics and health issues experienced by veterans. Community resources for veterans, families, and healthcare professionals will be offered.
