SOC 297A Men, and Masculinities (3) This is an introductory, survey course that critically examines the construction of masculinities in numerous contexts. Primarily grounded in the social sciences, the course will require students to explore how masculinity is situated within education, work, family, health, media, sexuality, and politics in the U.S. and internationally. Students will examine the intersections of race, ethnicity, class, sexuality with how masculinity is constructed, and how one defines what it means to "be a man."
