STABO 999C (IL) NAFTA Arbitration - McGill PRG (1) A transborder arbitration system, like ICSID, that applies to the mixed (commercial and political) disputes of international trade in the North American context. The considerations focus primarily upon NAFTA Chapter 11 arbitral proceedings.

STABO 999D (IL) ICC Arbitration - McGill PRG (1) Examines the structure and practices of a major provider of arbitration services. The International Chamber of Commerce, headquartered in Paris, France, administers more than 600 arbitrators yearly. It plays a significant role in transborder arbitral practice.

STABO 999E (IL) U.S. Law of Arbitration - McGill PRG (1) Addresses the basic issues and rules of arbitration law (including international commercial arbitration [ICA]) as articulated in U.S. law and the rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court.

STABO 999F (IL) ICSID Arbitration - McGill PRG (1) A study of the World Bank arbitration process. The latter is designed to address the issue of sovereignty in the context of transborder commercial and investment disputes. ICSID was established in 1965 under the Washington Convention. It has become a key arbitration system with the proliferation of Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs). BITs give foreign investors the right to make claims against a host State.
