This course considers the theory and practice of online learning by reviewing the most up-to-date research on effective online instruction especially as related to the affordances and contraints of CMS in order to allow you to optimize the learning objects that you will design by fully using the internal features of the CMS as well as incorporating external tools (i.e., go outside the CMS, create something, bring the artifacts back inside). The course readings, discussions, assignments, and activities lead to and support a major course project that you will develop and deliver.
