PROFESSOR TIMOTHY GIANOTTI AND PROFESSOR JANINA SAFRAN, in charge

This interdisciplinary program is designed for students having special interest in the geographical area that includes Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and the Arabic-speaking countries of southwestern Asia and northern Africa. In addition to the requirements for the minor, students may select other courses dealing with the Middle East, subject to the approval of the Middle East Studies Committee. A certificate is awarded to students who complete the requirements of the minor. A grade of C or better is required for all courses in the minor.
