The new Foundations in Letters, Arts, and Sciences II Certificate is the second certificate in the Associate Degree is Letters, Arts, and Sciences (2LACA) Step-up Certificate Program series administered at Penn State Harrisburg. The Academic Home for the program is the School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg. Students pursuing this certificate complete 24 credits that include 18 general education credits, as well as 6 credits from social and behavioral sciences and arts. This program meets the needs of students planning to pursue the associate degree and desiring milestones along the way. Students are strongly encouraged to work with an adviser as they pursue this certificate to ensure they meet all University requirements.
To earn an undergraduate certificate in FOUNDATIONS IN LETTERS, ARTS, AND SCIENCES II, a minimum of 24 credits is required.
In addition to the required courses, students must successfully complete 3credits in the General Arts, and 3 credits from one of the following categories: General Humanities, General Natural Science, Social and Behavioral Science, or from the Arts.
No Prerequisites Required.
