This certificate is intended to recognize the completion of course work during a study abroad experience with a science partner institution, allowing students to acquire a more global perspective on the study of science. Certificate completion will require a one-year (fall/spring) study abroad experience at a science partner institution during which the following course requirements are met: Completion of a minimum of 20 PSU-equivalent credits in science courses that can fulfill requirements for any of the College of Science major or minor degree requirements. Course equivalences have been pre-determined for some majors and some host institutions. Consultation with an academic adviser is recommended to ensure course choices.
To earn an undergraduate certificate in INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE, a minimum of 26 credits is required.
Study abroad for one academic year at a science partner institution. Completion of at least six credits of courses related to host country and at least 20 credits of science courses that will meet degree requirements.
