BME 406 Medical Imaging (3) Physical principles and clinical applications of medical imaging methods.

BME 406 Medical Imaging (3)

This course covers all four major diagnostic medical imaging modalities including x-ray, ultrasound, radioisotope imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging. Physical principles, instrumentation, and biomedical applications of these modalities, as well as the basics of imaging signals and image processing will be discussed. Success in this course will require background in physics and electrical circuits, and some experience with Matlab.
