I B 497B The Global Financial Crisis (3) An overview of the growth of the financial industry in the U.S. economy and the globalization of financial markets. It will look at the role of government, consumers, mortgage companies, the rating agencies and the banking sector in the creation of the housing bubble. The impact of certain financial derivatives on the global economy in general and specific countries in particular will be explores. Through readings of key players involved in the crisis, it will identify risk management issues that are important to this case and look at proposed remedies designed to avoid future problems.
