MATCH
Fourth-year medical students at Penn State College of Medicine host an annual MATCH Day Celebration with family and staff to learn where they will be attending for residency. On the third Friday of March, the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) releases residency information to medical students at 12 p.m. EST across the country. This event is a highlight for many medical students as they continue their journey to becoming doctors.

Commencement
The Penn State College of Medicine Commencement Ceremony takes place annually at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa. This capstone event recognizes graduating students in the medical, physician assistant and graduate programs during that academic year. This event is open to all students and their families with an approximate run time of two hours. Each year, a keynote speaker addresses attendees to provide words of wisdom and acknowledgment of their academic achievements. The 2025 keynote speaker is the president of the American Medical Association, Bruce Scott, MD.
